Lumina Serum for Skin Over 40

One gentle serum for dark spots, fine lines and dry skin. One step, morning and night.

Does the work of three:Spot serumFirming serumNight cream
  • Lighter-looking dark spots
  • Softer-looking fine lines
  • Firmer-feeling skin
  • Soft, hydrated skin
  • More even-looking tone
  • Gentle enough for every night

In the first 48 hours: softer, less tight skin. By night 30, 94 of our 100 testers said their dark spots looked lighter. Not a clinical trial.

Choose your plan

Crossed-out price: the same bottles bought one at a time, $79 each plus $8.95 shipping each time.

Why 2 bottles?

One bottle lasts about 30 nights. That’s where our testers’ answers stop, and 94 of 100 already said their spots looked lighter. Skin renews more slowly after 40, so older spots often need more than one round. Bottle 2 gives them a second. Every plan has the money-back promise, so picking 2 is just as safe. Each bottle is $10 less on 2, because we’d rather lower the price than have you stop at night 30.

What are the free gifts?

With 2 or 3 bottles: the See-It-for-Yourself Photo Kit. A setup card and a simple tracker, so your night 60 photo can be compared with your night 1.

With 3 bottles, two more: the 90-Night Roadmap, nine short notes timed to your nights, and the 4 Result Protectors After 40, a short guide to what protects your results outside the bottle, starting with the sun.

All three are digital. They come by email, starting the day after your order ships, and they’re yours to keep even if you take the refund.

★★★★☆Lumina tester

It took about three weeks to notice a real difference, but my skin tone is definitely more even now. I love that it doesn’t pill under my morning SPF.

What’s inside? All 18 ingredients

The A-R3 Matrix: alpha-arbutin for the look of dark spots, plus three peptides (Argireline® and the two in Matrixyl® 3000) for lines and firmness. Glycerin and hyaluronic acid hold water in your skin, so it can replace your night cream. It’s water-based, oil-free and fragrance-free.

All 18 ingredients, in order: Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Alpha-Arbutin, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

How do I use it?
One or two pumps on clean, dry face and neck, morning and night. Rub it in until it disappears and skip the night cream. By day, keep strong sun off your skin: shade, a hat or zinc oxide.
When will I see a difference?
You’ll feel softer, more hydrated skin from the first application. Spots take longer, because skin has to renew first. By night 30, 94 of our 100 testers said theirs looked lighter, and that’s where our numbers stop. Older skin renews more slowly, so for spots and lines we suggest 60 to 90 nights. If a brand promises results in a week, walk away.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?
Yes, that’s the point. Our testers with sensitive skin felt no burning or stinging, and nothing in it is meant to peel. There’s no fragrance either: no perfume and no masking scent. Every skin is different, so try a little on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours before your first full use. If it ever irritates your skin, stop and email us. You get every cent back, shipping included, without finishing your plan.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
You get every cent back. Finish your plan (30, 60 or 90 nights), and if your skin isn’t better, email us within 30 days of your last night. We refund you in full, shipping included, within 5 business days of approval. There’s nothing to send back, and you keep the bottles and any free guides. If it ever irritates your skin, you don’t have to finish: stop, email us, and you get the same refund.

Dark spots · Fine lines · Dryness

Made for women over 40.

First a spot that won’t fade. Then lines that stay. Then skin that feels tight by afternoon. They tend to arrive together, so we made one serum for all three, in one step, morning and night.

Photos for illustration. The women shown aren’t our testers. Our testers’ own words are further down.

For women with dark spots

The spot concealer can’t quite hide anymore. It used to fade by fall. Now it stays, and a new one lands beside it.

Alpha-arbutin works on the look of it, every night.

The lines that stay after the smile is gone, around the eyes and the mouth. They show most in photos.

Three peptides soften the look of them, without a needle.

Most serums go on sale first and collect reviews later. We gave Lumina to 100 women over 40 first, then asked what they really thought after 30 nights. All 100 wrote back. None were employees or relatives.

Night by night

What you’ll feel first, and what takes longer.

Real ingredients work on your skin’s schedule. Here it is, honestly.

The first 48 hours

Softer, less tight skin

Glycerin and hyaluronic acid pull water into skin from the first application. That tight, dry feeling eases. You feel it before anyone sees it.

Nights 3 to 14

Hydrated, every morning

Used morning and night, it keeps that water in. You wake up with skin that still feels soft, without a night cream on top.

Nights 15 to 30

Smoother and firmer-feeling

Rough patches smooth out and skin feels firmer. Some women see spots start to lighten here.

Bottle 1 ends here
Nights 31 to 60

A second round for your spots

What we expect: our testers’ answers stop at night 30, and older skin renews more slowly, so a second round gives the spots that are left more time to look lighter.

Bottle 2 ends here
Nights 61 to 90

A third round, for the oldest spots

What we expect: the oldest, darkest spots and the lines get the most time. That’s why the 90-night plan exists.

Bottle 3 ends here

The next 60 nights will pass either way. Start tonight, and you’ll have two photos to compare.

What we stand for

Why most serums can’t copy Lumina.

Four things we decided before we made a single bottle.

A woman with dark hair holding a bottle of Lumina Serum next to her face
Patience, not punishmentWe stand for

Gentle, every night.

We stand against

Burning or peeling a spot away.

Irritated skin can leave darker marks behind, right where you wanted a spot to fade. So nothing in Lumina is meant to sting or peel.

A woman in a navy T-shirt holding a bottle of Lumina Serum in her bathroom
No oil, no perfumeWe stand for

Zero oil, sealed in an airless pump.

We stand against

Kitchen oils and perfume in a face serum.

Oils like sunflower and grapeseed oxidize in air and light. What that means for skin is less settled than the internet suggests, and we left them out anyway. We left out fragrance too, one of the most common causes of allergic reactions to cosmetics.

A woman over 40 with short natural hair holding a bottle of Lumina Serum
No known hormone disruptorsWe stand for

Leaving your hormones alone.

We stand against

Parabens and phthalates in everyday skincare.

Hormones are already changing after 40. Skincare shouldn’t add to it. So Lumina has no parabens, phthalates or fragrance (where phthalates can hide), and none of its 18 ingredients is on Europe’s watch list of possible hormone disruptors in cosmetics.

A woman holding a bottle of Lumina Serum next to her face
Said up frontWe stand for

A real schedule, and a refund on a used bottle.

We stand against

“Visible results in 7 days,” and refunds only on unopened bottles.

Older spots can need two or three rounds of renewal, so we say it before you pay and cover every night of your plan. If your skin isn’t better, every cent comes back, and you keep the bottles.

The comparison you’d do yourself

Before you book the laser, or the needle.

A clinic is the option you already know. Here’s what it costs for spots and lines, next to Lumina.

At a clinic

For spots: laser or IPL, about $697 a session1Usually 2 to 3 sessions.2
For lines: injections, about $435 a visit3The effect may last 3 to 4 months, so you go back.4
For dryness: still your night creamNeither one hydrates your skin at home.

Spots and lines, first year: about $2,7005

Lumina at home

Lighter-looking spots94 of our 100 testers said so by night 30. Slower than a laser.
Softer-looking lines, without needlesYour face still moves like yours.
Soft, hydrated skin from night oneIt does your night cream’s job too.
Zero downtimeNothing in it is meant to peel or sting.

60 nights: $138, or every cent back

A clinic is the faster, bigger step, and for some women it’s the right call. Lumina is the gentle one to try first, for all three, at about a twentieth of that clinic year. The clinic will still be there.

1 Average fee for laser/IPL skin treatments, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 2023 Procedural Statistics. That category also includes laser hair removal, tattoo removal and leg veins, so it is not a price for spots alone. 2 Mayo Clinic, Age spots: diagnosis and treatment, 2025. 3 Average fee for neuromodulator (wrinkle-relaxing) injections, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 2023 Procedural Statistics. 4 Mayo Clinic, patient information on wrinkle-relaxing injections. 5 Our math: 2 laser sessions ($1,394) plus 3 visits for injections ($1,305).

Why we do this

A serum for spots and lines can’t prove itself in a week, and most return windows close at 30 days, before the change is even due. So we carry the risk, not you. If Lumina doesn’t earn its place on your shelf, it shouldn’t cost you anything.

Try it with nothing to lose

Before you ask

I’ve tried everything. Why would this work?
When a serum does nothing, it’s usually one of three things: it did only one job, the bottle ran out at 30 nights, before older spots got a second round, or it was too harsh to keep using. Lumina was made to fix all three. Mayo Clinic says nonprescription creams “may improve the appearance of age spots, depending on how dark the spots are and how often you apply the cream.” That’s why Lumina is gentle enough for every night. And if your skin isn’t better by the end of your plan, you get every cent back.
Will it help my fine lines?
That’s one of its three jobs. Argireline® softens the look of the lines you make when you smile, squint or frown, and the two peptides in Matrixyl® 3000 help skin feel firmer. 89 of our 100 testers said their skin felt firmer by night 30. Lines take longer, so for lines we suggest 60 to 90 nights. Deep folds are a job for a clinic, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
Do I really need more than one bottle?
For older spots and lines, we think so. One bottle lasts about 30 nights, which is where our testers’ answers stop, and older skin renews more slowly. That’s why we suggest 60 to 90 nights. If you’d rather start with one, it has its own 30-night money-back window. Add a bottle before that window closes and your promise stretches to cover it.
I’m over 60. Is it too late?
No. Skin keeps making new skin at every age. It just takes longer, which is why the plans go up to 90 nights.
Is it for every kind of spot?
It’s made for the flat brown spots that years of sun leave behind, often called age spots or sun spots, and for uneven tone. If a spot is new, growing, changing, rough or bleeding, show it to a dermatologist first.
Will my spots come back?
They can, and the sun is usually why. Lighter isn’t forever: a sunny summer can darken a spot again, with or without a serum. So keep strong sun off your face by day, with shade, a hat or zinc oxide. If you like what you see, keep going. Lumina is gentle enough for every night, and nothing renews unless you order again.
Will it break me out, or ball up under makeup?
Nothing in it is known to clog pores, and our testers with oily and combination skin had no breakouts. There’s no oil in it, so give it a minute or two to sink in, then put on your sunscreen and makeup as usual.
Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?
Yes. Lumina is water-based and fits into most routines. We left retinol out of Lumina on purpose, because it can sting, dry and peel skin.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every plan is a one-time purchase. Nothing renews, and you’re only charged again if you choose to order again.
Can I return it?
If your skin isn’t better when your last bottle runs out, the money-back promise gives you every cent back, shipping included, and you keep the bottles. Changed your mind before you open it? Write to hello@reflorealabs.com within 30 days of delivery and we’ll send return instructions. On an unopened return, the postage is yours and the first shipping charge isn’t refunded. If a bottle arrives damaged or defective, email us and we put it right at our cost. One course per customer, up to 90 nights. Full refund terms
I’m pregnant or nursing. Can I use it?
Please ask your doctor first. That’s the only honest answer any skincare brand can give you.
Where is it made, and where can I buy it?
In the USA, at one lab in Florida, in small batches. Lumina is sold only here, and every order ships from New Jersey.

Still have a question? Email hello@reflorealabs.com. A real person on our team answers within one business day, in writing, so you have it on record.
